The Workforce Partnership is committed to building a workforce development
system that meets the needs of both job seekers and employers throughout the
Kansas City area. Governed by a business-led board of directors, we work
with public and private sector training providers and service organizations
to ensure that the area has a skilled, work-ready workforce that allows area
employers businesses to thrive. We are equally committed to ensuring that
individuals in Johnson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte counties have the skills
and tools they need to obtain and keep sustaining employment.
We believe that workforce development is a critical component of economic
development. Employers need qualified workers to compete in an increasingly
global economy. A qualified, skilled, and agile workforce is critical for
the region to continue to attract and retain businesses. Together with our
public and private partners, we are committed to ensuring that the workforce
development system produces such a workforce.
Employment is also critical to most individuals' and families' success, as
well. We believe that a system that meets employers' needs will also help
to meet those individuals' needs, by providing training and other workforce
services that will allow them to find jobs that with good pay and promising
futures. We are dedicated to making sure that the area's network of
employment and training services helps both businesses and individuals
thrive.
